Oy! What a weekend it’s been

Well, it’s Monday, and time to look back on last week, and how slack I’ve been.

First up, I had a sinus infection, that I had managed to start to subdue – only to wake up Thursday morning with it invading my left ear. Crapola! So I fought back, and woke up Friday with it not only trying to take over my ear, but attempting to infect my eyes! So, Off to the doctor, who now has me on Augmentin and Guaifenex. Both have very few side effects, and are beating this thing down. I hope to be back to 100%…

Saturday was a wash, Ray was playful and not much else was done. Sunday I spent part of the day with day upgrading the TriLUG Server to Redhat 6.2 and the Patches that go With it. Everything went smoothly, which was cool. The we had my in laws over for dinner. Nothing special on the menu, but nice company.

Today was run of the mill at work – hack, hack hack. I did switch to blackbox on my laptop. To think I’ve been using enlightenment instead. Silly me.

And now, it looks like the CD/DVD Driveon my desktop is behaving badly – so badly that it’s basically a drinkholder right now. It won’t boot from CD, it wont read CD/CDR/CDRW/DVD media…maybe it’s a good thing I have that Best Buy warranty…if I can find the paperwork…

Anyway, It’s time to pass out now. Sleep, and tomorrow is a new day…

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.
