At the beach – Finale

After our Friday night walk, I was off to the hot-tub, a luxury I do not have at home.

I had been trying to get there all week, but had been *WAY* too tired, or otherwise occupied. And so, Beer in hand, I went to dip myself into hot water.

I met an older couple from Delaware, a young couple from Virginia, and a pair of College girls from Raleigh.

After they all left, I had a little time to work the vacation tension out of my system, finish my beer, and then back to the room.

Saturday we packed up and left. I ran into an old friend in the parking lot, which surprised me – of course, only I could go to Atlantic Beach and run into someone I know from Raleigh.

The drive home was pleasant, and then we unpacked, discovered all the fish lived, and are now catching up on everything.

It’s good to be home.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.
