I don’t think so

Had grits for breakfast. Caught up on email.

Today I have to get IBM WAS running on my laptop, or some similar Servlet 2.2 container should that be a problem.

I need to bone up on WAS, or I’d just use Resin 2.0. Experiments with Tomcat seem to indicate that there’s a big memory leak in both mod_jk and mod_webapp, making it unsuitable for use.

Oh, and maybe I’ll rip some Bowie to mp3 so I don’t ahve to carry around all the CDs I own…

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

at my job in nyc (upoc.com), we were making the switch to resin from tomcat right as i was leaving. tomcat was a total pain in the ass…and the support was really lacking. last i heard, resin was working much, much better for them…good luck!

I dig. Donald is experimenting with resin for that reason, but I really need WAS to do my next project, so I’m stuck with it *sigh*
