Great game last night. As usual, dad and I were in my seats – 3 rows off the ice. I love my seats.
Anyway, the game was awsome. The rangers played hard, and lost 3-1. My fault for thinking “shutout” when it was 3-0, with 10 left in the 3rd. Oops.
I was disappointed, though, that they only sang “God Bless America” WFT is up with that. yeah, the tribute to NYC, and letting the guy from Durham who carried the wheelchair lady down the towers was cool, but I think it’s disrespectful not to sing the “Star Spangled Banner” at a sporting event. “God Bless America” is OK, but it’s *NOT* the National Anthem, and just plain *WRONG* to sing that and nothing else.
And the bagpipe playing “Amazing Grace” was nifty.
All in all, a fun night, and it’s nice to see the hockey team playing like they have a chance, this early.
