Well, with the time change, everyone was up early (as it were).
The ray was himself, Jacob slept and ate a lot, and Renee moved around a bit more. Which is good – she’s getting better, but not quite ready for me to go back to work yet (dang!)
At naptime it all fell apart. My folks had to drop off some stuff from my grandfather’s house (he’s moving into an assisted living place) in PA. Ray, of course, sees what’s going on outside, and that was about it for naptime.
Just as Dad and I are getting things wrapped up, our old neighbors from moncure arrived with food (ya! No cooking for me tomorrow night!) and some conversation (it’s nice to talk face to face with adults who aren’t family).
Just after they left, Renee’s folks showed up with tonight’s dinner. Ray was OK, and we all had a good time.
After they left, I get about an hour of calm out of Ray, and then he went into that 3-year-old “gotta play, everything has to be my way” attitude I know and just love so much. We managed to keep him from disturbing Jacob’s sleep, and then, it was bedtime!
Total time outs for Ray today = 7+
Total naptime = 0 mins
I need a drink. or five.
