Watched Shrek for the first time ever tonight.

I can see why everyone thought it was so funny. Now for those DVD extras, that promise to make me die from laughter.

In the morning.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

Shrek is great. The dragon was badass (even though pink is not the greatest color)

you wouldn’t think it but dragons often fall in love with Asses too.

    (giggles)

It was one of the best “children’s” movies I’ve ever seen. Part of why it’s so good were all the puns & ineuendos put in for the parents that the kids don’t get. At least they know adults are in the audience! Enjoy the extras, the chia pet donkey is great ;)

Actually, I thought she wasn’t that bad in pink.

The best of the rendering was used in the dragon, I’ll admit. I have *GOT* to find a screen capture or two of her – at least, early on when she’s still mad…

Those same qualities are why my kids won’t be seeing it until they’re at least 12. I don’t think Ray (at 3) is *QUITE* ready for even the low grade stuff in the movie.

Until then, I’ll watch it again and againa and again. *grin*

I would think 10 or so & up would get those comments (do you think he’s compensating for something?) – but I don’t have kids so I don’t realize what they will catch or now.
