Weekend wrapup

Saturday : not much, Had a meeting with the TriLUG folks about our project hosting/build farm plans. Toured the co-lo, ate Mexican in RTP.

Came home, cooked, and did the “normal” evening routines.

Sunday : We went to Northgate Mall in Durham so she could visit their new Anime centric store Animazed. Talked to the owner, ordered some import VCDs. I expect my copy of the new Vampire Hunter D movie should be in today on DVD (the one saw this weekend). Since I can’t see it in the theater, I’ll watch the Japanese DVD release.

*IF* these guys survive, they’ll probably turn into our local Anime source. Especially if they can beat Suncoast’s prices on Domestic Anime DVDs, and can continue to get imports of stuff not available here yet (like VCDs and such).

Anyway, then Ray & I picked up a Xmas Tree and set it up. Mom & Dad came over to have my London Broil. The only thing Renee did in preparation for the meal was the mashed potatoes.

Tried a California Zin with dinner. So-So. I think I’ll avoid Zins – I’ve never been a big fan, and this one just re-enforced that.

Then bed, and sleep. Now, to work!

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.
