A weekend in two parts (pt. 2)

Sunday : Boring. Spend the day playing with Ray, the computer, or Sheep Raider with Jacob on my lap.

Went to the ‘rents’ for dinner, as usual. Ray was cute, Jacob was cute. We took ray to see the lights this guy in apex puts out every year – wow. for those of you nearby : Go to Crossroads in Cary. Take Walnut/Holly Springs Road towards Holly Springs. Turn left on Penny. it’ll be on your left, you can’t miss it. Trust me on this.

Ray thought it was great.

On the way home, phone rang. let it go to voicemail. Put ray to bed, called back (only two numbers show PRI-VATE when they call my phone – mine, and his). heard about the layoff.

So much for a boring day. Crashed. Not much else to do….

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

At least I leave messages. I personally hate hangup calls.

  2. alchemist says:

The Cel voicemail is pretty good about that. if you don’t leave a message, caller ID usually catches it.

    Is pobox forwarding now?

  3. badger says:

Well, what I really hate are hangup calls on my voicemail. Pobox seems to be doing fine now, thanks. I even unpacked the entire site (on another server) and reset the URL redirect. It’d be nice if I had a redirect in benjy’s apache config to forward to pobox.com/~burnett/ but eh, can’t have everything.

  4. alchemist says:

I’ll ask Scott about it. Who knows, he might actually do it…

…as to the pobox thing, I’ll be bypassing it until I’m sure it’s not passing through benjy.

You probably aught to remove the wZ link(s) from your homepage…
