Yesterday work was surreal and subdued. Everyone realizing that they could be next, I guess. I doubt anyone did much productive work, but hey, we’ll bill some hours, right?

Came home, didn’t do much else.

Today will be an adventure. Ray has pre-school, Renee has a dental apt. and Jacob has a Doctor’s apt. It looks like the itinerary is :
by 8:45 – take out trash, have shower, dress Ray
8:45 – take Ray to pre-school
10:00 – send Renee to dentist (in cary)
10-3pm – keep Jacob happy
11:45 – pick up ray from pre-school
12:15pm – lunch.
1:30 – get Ray & Jaboc ready to leave
2:00 – drop Ray off at Inlaw’s house
by 3pm – Meet Renee at Jacob’s Doctor in Cary
after 3 – hopefully catch up with
about picking up some stuff in his storage unit

This wouldn’t be so bad, except the moment Renee leaves the house, Jacob complains. Last time she was gone for 2 hours, he bitched for the first hour and a half, slept for the last 30 mins. Today it’s me & him for at least 5 hours, with 2-3 hours of both boys & me. I expect it will be OK…except. Except that pre-school winds Ray up, and the rest of the day he’s somewhat unmanageable.

Wish me luck.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.
