This is the emaiI sent my family a few moment ago
OK, the good news : Damien is doing great. he was eating from my hand
earlier, and couldn’t get enough. And he must be starving, since he
never ate from my hand before.
Now, Damien has been in a cage or carrier (not including surgery) since
about 8:45 am yesterday. In the cages, he could just, you know, go. He
can’t in a carrier. So, I let him out, and let him walk to the litter
box. This in itself is no trivial task, as first I have to get him to
head toward the litter box, and even then, I’m trailing behind him with
his IV bag.
I’m sure you can see where this is headed.
So there I was, standing outside the litter box, holding his IV bag,
while he took care of his “business.”
It was at this point I decided that I had a new respect for nurses, and
that it’s a good thing I decided on the other family business (i.e.
computers and/or engineering) instead.
I also now have practical experience herding cats, as he really wants to
hide under the bed, and not go back in his cage. And now, that task
done, I find myself writing this email before I collapse.
Good night everyone.
