Canes Win!

Weekes gets his first playoff shutout, and we go to round two!

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

Canes ROCK!!! I can’t wait to find out who we’re playing in round 2.

For once, something exciting in little old Raleighwood.

Round two will be the winner of the Boston/Montreal Series, AFAIK. It looks ot me that Round two in the east will be ‘Canes/Canadiens, and Ottowa/Leafs. Can we beat the Canadiens? I bet says “No” *grin*

Someone needs to remind JO of what he said in the paper the other day about his gold chain. I noticed he was wearing it in Jersey, and no goals again, even on an awsome breakaway.

Oh, and I ordered a Weekes jersey. Shouldn’t ahve, but there you go…

What did he say about his gold chain? Bates wears a huge one, but I didn’t notice Jeff did. Superstition is sooooo big in hockey, and they need to keep all the details in check.

Speaking of players that are doing well, Jarro and Josef are kicking ass for young’uns. I’m really enjoying watching them do so well.

Jeff wears a chain with a Celtic something on it (no mention of exactly what it is), and it got broke in game 5. Then he scored his only point in the series. He wasn’t sure if he was getting it fixed or not, according to the article in the N&O Thursday (page 5C)

It looked like he had it back on yesterday, and no goals, even on an awsome breakaway (that’s two he missed in that series)….

Yeah, Jarro and Josef are kicking much ass. That whole line is. But the other rising star is in goal…
