Nothing personal – I love her, but I cannot **WAIT* for her hormones to return to their normal levels. I mean, that’s about the only explanation I can get for why she’s suddenly the queen of mood swings all of a sudden. She’s happy! She’s sad! She’s playful! She’s grumpy! She’s relaxed! She’s going to cut off my testicles! No, wait, she doesn’t want to cut them off…

And that was between 9 & 9:30 pm.

Remember, guys, 90% of the cases where women kill their husbands it’s in the 8th or 9th month post-partum.

Two and a half more months, and the worst will be over. Until menopause, anyway.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

Is that what I have to look forward to? I wasn’t moody during my pregnancy. I hope I’m not after the baby comes. I’ve never been the moody kind though.

Every woman is different. So maybe, maybe not. But *DO* be aware that PPD is a very real thing, and you probably won’t even know you *ARE* depressed until it’s nearly too late. Do NOT be afraid to talk to Alan, your doctor, Donna, me, your family…whoever you think can help.
