Got a call on a resume I sent out a few weeks back. Looks like a preliminary phone thing tomorrow morning. It’s not the one I really want right now, but I’d still like to hear about it.

We’ll see. I think it’s in Winston-Salem, and although I’m not too keen on moving, I’d really hate to miss something good.

Even if it’s not the one I really want at the moment. Worst case, I pass it on to someone better suited, and bear Renee’s wrath…if I turn down a job and things get worse, I’m going to be in the shitter.

Who am I kidding? I turn down a job, and I’m in the shitter anyway, even if I don’t want to work there, and it looks like a cluster-duck all over, y’know? She just wants me OUT of wZ, even if that means 20 hour days with travel 4 days a week and getting screwed over on IP.

Bleck.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

this isn’t really helpful, but anything you pass on (or some place that needs more than 1 :) i’m definitely interested in checking out – freshly updated resume and all that :)
