hahahahaha.
Busted ass to get the Airport working for TriLUG last month (thanks !), need to re-config for tonight, and I’ve forgotten the password.
Figures….
About Kevin Sonney
Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this.
Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons.
His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits.
Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.
Even with you falsely implying by omission Mac OS 9 couldn’t manage an Airport base station….
Oh, I set the admin password on that base station to whatever you told me to (which I recall is what it was before you had to reset it that night), and then consciously erased it from memory. I have no idea what it waswas/was/is. a
I’m never going to live that down, am I?
OK, I know the password now, assuming I can type and spell it properly. You gonna be there tonight?
Umm, if you know the password, can’t you get in now? I don’t know if I can get there or not, still waiting for the dealership to get me a loaner car so I can put mine BACK in the shop.
Aparently it self-corrupts when it’s left unplugged for a while. Weird.
Anyway, I’ve reset it and got it back to working, I think. if you make it tonight, cool. If not, cool.
Thought about changing mechanics at this point?
Duh. Sort of hard to get anyone but a dealership to work on Buicks. These guys did great for me for the last 4+ years up until this problem. If I knew a good service dept at another Buick dealership I would.
