Took some time to add a feature to a python program last night. I’ve never written Python before, so it was time to learn.

Python rocks. I’ll have to invest more time in it.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

I’ve been saying that for a long time. :).

heh – i’ve been trying to do the same – I had a bunch of patches submitted for the up2date client stuff, but it’s gotten pretty solid (well, Adrian started telling me he was doing a full rewrite, so any patches I submitted would be useless and not apply to his newer codebase) and I stopped making those patches.

It’s nice for a lanuage to be just as “at home” working at both the lowest and highest “levels”, able to interoperate with C so easily, yet still “usefully” object-oriented (although I miss a couple things from Java space, but not much)

just need to spend more time with it, just like you :)
