Sunday morning oddities

Odd moment – one of the people on my friends’ list looks a lot like a girl I knew back in the late 80s – or at least, enough of a similarity that it strikes me as possibly what she might look like 10-12 years later.

One of the few long-lost friends I have tried to look up every few years, for some unknown reason, although the trail went cold long, long ago in Boca Raton, Fla.

Of course, I highly doubt it to be the same person, but it is an odd coincidence in my mind. The really odd thing? I had added this person base on what she wrote, without seeing a picture. That came in the past few days while I was poking about some of the un-followed links and profiles.

As a side note, the “Friends of Friends” LJ feature will lead you into some interesting places.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.
