Should I be concerned that in the past week, the girl who didn’t hardly drink before she got pregnant (the second time) finished off :three glasses of Wine with dinner Sunday and a wine cooler a night M-F?
Should I be concerned that when I was making the grocery list, she said “Thank God” when I added wine coolers to the list?
I can understand maybe one after a hard day, but is every day so hard she needs one to relax? OK, she didn’t have one Saturday, but I was home all day Saturday, and I offered to share a bottle of the good wine with her.
If I ask her about it, she will be defensive. This I know. She’s always defensive.
It’s like when I asked her about the chores last Sunday. She immediately started “well, the kids won’t let me…..” This is the first excuse as to why all the dinners when ‘m at work come out of the freezer or a can. Mostly from the freezer. And the first reason why the laundry rarely gets done, unless I make an issue/example of it, or she’s out of clothes.
But something positive happened after I talked to her. She doesn’t bitch when I say “I know you’re trying to relax, but would you please help with…” after Ray goes to bed. We’ll see how long that lasts.
I’m trying to be understanding, I really am. But her family aren’t drinkers. Hell, My family aren’t drinkers. There’s still beerk leftover from the playoff run in the fridge. it’s really kind of out of character for her, I think.
I probably shouldn’t worry. Well, not until it moves to two a day.
I wonder if she would say something to me if I came home from work and drank a beer every night, rain or shine, good day or bad….
