The Week so far

– Had a conversation about projects with Jeff on Monday. Got some insight into kermit from him, discussed DVD burning with him. I’m starting to warm up to Jeff.
– Got a DVD+RW with video data on it to actually work on a DVD player (PS2). There’s a glitch somewhere n the Video playback, so I’m experimenting with a different kernel. Talked to mkj about that on Wednesday. I now know a *LOT* more about kernel scheduling and realtime processes, and what might be affected where.
– Am fighting off a cold. Right now I’m winning, just in time for the holiday
– End of Quarter. Hope there are no casualties on Monday. Am not expecting any, but still….
– Need to play more Go in realtime (in person or on a Go server) vs. by email. now that I’m starting to take the game more seriously, I’m getting better.
– Got the first issue of Shonen Jump on Tuesday. Manga – mmmmmmm. I wish they’d put Hikaru No Go in it, though. Now, if only it were weekly *grin*

That’s about it for us so far. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Enjoy your $(Turkey || Tofurkey) today!

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.
