Oh, now I have to.

Renee said last night that I wouldn’t get the tattoo, because I’d “see the needle and that’d be it”

Yeah, OK, I’ve had some…issues…with needles in the past. But this was almost a dare, or a “yeah, right, suuuure you will” statement from her.

After the beach, when I get my end-of-quarter payment. Blue Flame. Renkinjutsushi (well, the kanji representation of same), right shoulder, vertical.

Who’s in for moral support? *grin*

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

Get the fucking tattoo! If you need moral support, Keith and I can provide it!

  2. deerslayer says:

Hell yeah, we need more tattoo sporting dudes at the office ;-)

  3. jay says:

(John) Courage is available at many local taverns.

  4. alchemist says:

Yeah, really. You would think there would be more given the demographics and the company roots and all.

But the only one I know about is you, and there has to be more that that, right?

  5. badger says:

I’m in. Can I *provide* moral support?

  6. alchemist says:

I suppose so *grin*. Are you sure? We can probably get and elder sign put somewhere strategic on you….or would that break the bindings?

  7. badger says:

I was just questioning my moral reserves, not offering to join you. :) I have work of my own to get done sometime, but not right now. And an elder sign is a bad idea. Trust me on this.

  8. alchemist says:

I dig. And I’ll return the favor, as it were, when the time comes. deal?

  9. badger says:

    Sure, thanks for the offer.

  10. deerslayer says:

A couple people in support I think, Diego Novillo (sp?) for one.

  11. ryeth says:

I’m always up for moral support for tattoos and piercings. It boosts my “bad influence” reputation. Ha! If you want someone to go with just let me know. And btw, it may be a collection of needles, but it looks nothing like needles and doesn’t feel like it either – so most people freaky about needles (unless they mentally psyche themselves out) don’t have a problem.

  12. detritus says:

I’m in, as long as you don’t have a huge posse rolling up in the tattoo place.

    That would just be wierd.

  13. alchemist says:

I don’t know Diego Novillo, but yeah, I can see McDermott being inked. *grin*
