Last toy

I must say, the screen on the Palm Tungsten E2 is FANTABULOUS.

Went out to Bali Hai for lunch, came home and the PDA I bought on ebay (to replace the palm half of the Kyocera I trashed last week) had arrived. It’s hella nicer than the phone was, and I think I like it a lot better than a Treo. So now I’m repopulating both the phone *AND* the palm, which is cool. And re-finding all the little apps I had on the phone that I miss.

(Where’s my Franklin Covey CD? Grrrr)

Now all I need is a magic 8-ball for it and I’m happy.

Then had to get some CDs to re-image the house server. OS is trash, Data partitions are OK. So I’m giving CentOS a whirl. Their bittorrent distribution scheme is blazing fast – I was able to get both version 3.5 and 4.1 in under 3 hours each. So we’ll see how it works out. Worst case I re-download RHEL and re-apply that.

No worries, right?

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.
