2-day weekend

Spent most of yesterday and today doing stuff with the kids. Yesterday we did some laundry and the grocery shopping.

I also made my monthly pilgramage to last night. I needed it after the foray into the grocery store with the kids. I might look like a retard on the dance floor, but at least I have the testicular fortitude to get out there. And that seems to motivate others who are better than me to dance. Also, having ice cream cake at midnight for ‘s birthday was most excellent.

Today was brunch at the Pittsboro General Store Cafe and a train ride at the New Hope Valley Railway in Bonsail. I’m starting to look forward to the monthly train ride as much as J.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

Sounds like a good weekend, which is definitely the best kind :)

Even better was seeing ABruno and Alex (from RH.eu now in Raleigh) at the bar last night.

When’s your next visit? And where’s a script to install fc6t1 as a xen guest? *grin*

I’ve seen amaier a few times now as she seems to get to travel when she wants ;-) Haven’t seen or heard from abruno in a while

As for when I’m going to be down that way, we’re looking at probably heading down in mid-October. Won’t decide for sure until after Kara’s classes start in September. We’re almost certainly going to do what we did last Christmas with driving down and then getting to spend a few days in the triangle.

As for test1 — the wiki directions should still apply.
