Ah yes, 36

So I turned 36 on Thursday – many thanks to the people who wished me a happy birthday and all that jazz.

This week has been jam packed. Saturday was the District Planning Meeting, Sunday was gracepoint and the Den meeting. Monday was the Pack Planning meeting, Tuesday was the Pinewood Derby[1] Track test. Wednesday Terry and I headed to Vintage 21[2] for a conference on Creativity in Worship as well as got in some discussion time pastor to member[3]. Thursday was my Birthday, so Dad and I went to the hockey game[4], and Friday was the usual Friday running about.

I actually managed to WORK during that time as well. And found a great article on Work/Life Balance[5].

Leaving TODAY to catch up on all the lose ends from the prior week and see if I have the energy to get to Kulture tonight.[7]

Now if only Element TD wasn’t as addictive as CRACK, I’d be productive….

[1] You have no idea how serious this is. We have a good group, but even the slightest hint of something ain’t right will set parents off in a frenzy. At district last year there were accusations that the winning car had ball bearings in the wheels.[6] I kid you not.
[2] The really have some good energy, and their Pastor & Worship lead are just…WOW. I need to attend a service to see how they do things in person.
[3] I’ve got some things to work on, and I’ve got a LOT to learn. Bring it on.

[6] There weren’t. Although I also suspect the dad had something to do with the building of the car.
[7] I have to be at gracepoint for setup at 8:30 so we’ll see how tired I am after a day with the kids. although I REALLY need to get out, and soon.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

I’ll throw in another set of belated birthday wishes. Definitely sounds like a good, albeit busy, week.
