Summertime rolls

There is something to be said for the perfect summer day. And I think today was one of them.

Big Man wanted to see Transformers for his birthday. So I went early to get tickets. 12:45, 3 hours until the movie, now what?

Went to Borders to pick up a copy of the new Rob Bell book. Also picked up a pocket copy of The Message, Barclay’s Study Guide for Acts, The first two Hardy Boys books for Ray, Ghost Rider, and the Indian Jones Collection. I should note that we need Indian Jones for gracepoint on Sunday, so it’s really theirs and not mine ;)

Had lunch at Borders as well, even got a chance to say hi to .

What to do for the next two hours until the movie? Why sit on a bench and READ of course. And what a GREAT way to spend an afternoon. But before I knew it people showed up, and it was time.

OMG, OMG, OMG, AWESOME. I have to say, I loved Transformers. Lots of fun, lots of things blowing up, and a 2008 Camaro to boot. And Big Man loved it too. So it’s been a good birthday for him. ;)

Quick stop at Target for cat food and a new hat, a brief stop at Food Lion on the way home (Deli Sandwich, Potato Salad, and beer), It’s time to chill, maybe watch Ghost Rider, and relax.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.
