Cats and more cats

So I was uploading pics of the zoo to flickr (Here’s the set), and saw I had some of Cowboy in there. Went back in LJ to get the right date, and added his death to the pic description (for those that might not have been here – go back to Aug. 28, 2006 and read it if you wish).

You know, I still miss him. He was one of the best cats ever, and was with me for over a decade. And after Damien died, he became the sole cat in the house for a few years, which suited him fine.

What’s funny is Marv is the same breed, but different colors, and just as sweet. I wonder if that’s why he was sent to me (and I have no doubt Marv was meant to be with me). It’s almost like I got my Cowboy back. Almost, ’cause Marv has yet to reach into my mouth to try to get the food I’m eating….

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.
