About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

It’s TOTALLY not my fault! She bet me, see! We made a deal, see! The deal was I’d wear a tail if she did first! I am in way, shape, form or factor an instigator here.

    Well.. okay… maybe a leeeeetle!

So where did ursula get her corset? Not in Raleigh I’m assuming…

Northbound leather in Toronto. They’re also online at http://www.northboundlive.com/

You can get good corsets in NC, if you run with the right crowds ;).

  5. cahoozle says:

Well I just moved back to NC. In Los Angeles, I had no problems finding anything. Here, I’m still figuring out where to go.

There’s a guy at the State Fair flea market who does custom leather stuff. I don’t know his name but I’ve heard great things and seen his work. I’m assuming he’ll build corsets, because what I’ve seen him make has been as intricate as a corset would be.

well, it’s not quite a corsetmaker, but maybe check out http://www.organicarmor.com/ in Asheville. As far as standard pre-made corsets and such, I think most people around here buy their stuff in Atlanta, DC, or off the web.

The last one I got from Stormy Leather. They are awesome!
