Ever have one of those moments…

….when you’re pretty sure you’ve made a social gaffe, and either nobody noticed, or everyone is just being polite and ignoring it?

Yeah, that’s me at the moment. Hopefully, it’ll pass.

In other non-news, I’m working on my taxes this weekend, because, well the deadline is looming, and it needs to get done. And while I’m going through all the paperwork around that, I’m trying to figure out how I can make what I make and still be only barely “break even” every month.

I’m nearly 40 years old, and I had thought I would be past this sort of thing by now. You may point and laugh now.

On the positive side, I’m BREAKING EVEN, which is a hell of  a lot better than last time I was on a W-2, and a hell of a lot better than some of my friends, so I guess I shouldn’t complain too loudly.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.
