Stray’s Thanksgiving 2008

In case you’re not on the evite list, or it got caught in your spam filters :

Thanksgiving is here again, and so it’s time for my annual Open-House Thanksgiving. This is especially for those who can’t visit family, don’t have family nearby, or would avoid the family drama this year.

We’ll get the Turkeys, and you bring the sides (just like last year). Please RSVP with some hint as to what you’ll be able to bring so we can plan properly. We’ll start eating somewhere around 2, so bring an appetite! (Also, for the vegetarians among us, I plan on having a Tofurkey!)

The invite is here.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

Hey Kevin… random request :) We’ve got plans with my parents so we won’t be at the stray dinner, but I thought I’d see if you had any plans for the turkey carcass (bones) after everyone’s eaten their fill? We collect turkey bones for a home remedy for our old, arthritic dog each year. If you do something with it, no worries. But I thought I’d ask :) We could pick up on Friday
